About this kit
The Zvezda 1/35 Soviet Main Battle Tank T-62M (Z3679) models the modernised T-62 of the 1980s. The M upgrade added appliqué armour to the turret and hull front, giving the tank a far more aggressive look than the original and making it a popular subject for late Cold War and modern dioramas.
T-62Ms served in Afghanistan and in many later conflicts, so there is a wide choice of finishes, from clean Soviet green to dusty, heavily worn vehicles. Building it next to an earlier T-62 shows clearly how the Soviet army kept its older tanks relevant through upgrades.
