About this kit
The Zvezda 1/35 Soviet Heavy Tank IS-2 (Z3524) is a plastic model kit of the Josef Stalin heavy breakthrough tank. Armed with a 122 mm gun, the IS-2 entered service in 1944 and spearheaded the final Soviet offensives, including the storming of Berlin, making it one of the most iconic tanks of the Eastern Front.
The IS-2 is a large, imposing tank on the shelf, and its long gun and sloped hull respond beautifully to a Soviet green base coat with chipping, mud and winter whitewash effects. It also makes an ideal companion for Soviet tank crew figures or Berlin street ruins.
