About this kit
The Zvezda 1/72 Russian Hussars 1812 to 1814 (Z8055) is a plastic figure set of Russian light cavalry from the campaigns against Napoleon. The scuttle shaped shako introduced in 1812 dates the set precisely, and carbine armed troopers suit the Borodino period.
Russian hussars were known for their colourful uniforms, giving painters a wonderful opportunity to work with bright regimental colours, braiding and horse furniture. With 18 riders in the box, the set provides a solid cavalry unit for Napoleonic wargames. They look particularly effective massed together on a base to recreate a charge from the 1812 campaign.
