About this product
The Tamiya Mechanical Dog (71101) is a fun build it yourself mechanical kit from Tamiya's Educational series, creating a walking dog mechanism powered by a single AA battery motor. The dog's legs move in a realistic walking pattern as the motor turns, demonstrating the principles of cam and linkage mechanisms in an engaging and hands on way. An ideal first kit for younger builders or anyone interested in simple mechanical engineering.
Suitable for ages 10 and up. Adult supervision recommended for younger builders.
