Tamiya Mechanical Beetle Kit - 71103

The Tamiya Mechanical Beetle (71103) is a motorised mechanical kit from Tamiya's Educational series, building into a battery powered beetle that walks with a realistic six legged gait. The clever cam and linkage mechanism translates rotary motor power into the alternating leg movement of a real insect, demonstrating elegant biomechanical engineering in a simple and satisfying build. An excellent introduction to mechanisms and STEM concepts for young builders.

Suitable for ages 10 and up.
