The Tamiya 1/700 German Battle Cruiser Scharnhorst (77518) reproduces one of the most powerful and feared German warships of the Second World War — the Scharnhorst whose combination of high speed and heavy armament made her a constant threat to Allied Atlantic convoys. Scharnhorst served throughout the war, culminating in the Battle of North Cape in December 1943 where she was caught and sunk by HMS Duke of York and her escorts in the last major warship action in European waters.
