The Tamiya 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 (61117) reproduces the most-produced variant of the most-produced fighter aircraft in history — the Bf 109G-6 'Gustav' that formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter arm from 1943 onwards. Armed with two cowl-mounted 13mm machine guns and a centreline 20mm cannon, with provision for underwing gondola cannons, the G-6 was a potent but increasingly difficult aircraft to fly as power and weight grew throughout its development.
