The Tamiya 1/72 A6M3 Zero Model 32 'Hamp' (60784) reproduces the unusual short-winged A6M3 Model 32 — the variant that replaced the folding wingtips of the A6M2 with clipped fixed wingtips for a sturdier structure, creating the distinctive squared-off appearance that Allied intelligence initially thought was a completely different aircraft, assigning it the reporting name 'Hamp'. The Model 32 had higher diving speed but reduced range compared to the A6M2.
