The Tamiya 1/72 Focke-Wulf Fw190 A-3 (60766) reproduces the Fw190 in its early A-3 configuration in the compact and affordable 1/72 scale. The A-3 represented the Fw190's early service development phase — armed with four 20mm cannon and two machine guns, it caused a major shock to the RAF when it appeared over the English Channel in late 1941 and proved superior to the then-current Spitfire Mk.V in many respects. The Fw190's BMW 801 radial engine, wide undercarriage, and excellent roll rate made it one of the great fighters of the war.
