The Tamiya 1/72 Bf 109E-4/7 Trop (60755) reproduces the tropical version of the Bf 109 Emil — modified for operations in the North African desert with sand filters on the engine intake and other tropical modifications. The E-4 and E-7 were the standard Bf 109 variants during the Battle of Britain and early North African campaign, providing the Luftwaffe and the Afrika Korps with the standard German fighter of the period in one of the most challenging operating environments of the war.
