The Tamiya 1/35 JGSDF Light Armoured Vehicle Domestic Version (35368) reproduces the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force's standard wheeled light armoured vehicle — the indigenous design used for transport, patrol, and rapid response across JGSDF formations. The LAV (LAV-I) is a compact 4x4 vehicle providing basic ballistic protection for personnel in a manoeuvrable and easily transportable package, analogous to similar wheeled APCs used by other modern armed forces.
