The Tamiya 1/35 German Heavy Self-Propelled Howitzer Hummel Late Production (35367) reproduces the most powerful German self-propelled artillery piece of the Second World War to see widespread service — the Hummel ('Bumblebee'). Armed with the 15cm sFH 18 heavy field howitzer on the Geschützwagen III/IV hybrid chassis, the Hummel gave German armoured artillery batteries the long-range firepower to engage targets well beyond the range of lighter SPGs.
This kit represents the Late Production Hummel with its revised superstructure and modified driver's compartment. With the distinctive open fighting compartment, large-calibre gun, and detailed running gear, it's an impressive and important addition to any German 1/35 artillery collection.
