The Tamiya 1/35 German Self-Propelled Howitzer Wespe Italian Front (35358) reproduces the nimble and effective German light self-propelled artillery piece in its Italian campaign configuration. The Wespe (Wasp), built on the Panzer II chassis and armed with a 105mm leFH 18 howitzer, provided mobile indirect fire support to German panzer and panzergrenadier formations with great success from 1943 onwards. The Italian Front version features specific markings and weathering appropriate to the harsh conditions of the Italian campaign.
