The Tamiya 1/35 Russian Tank BT-7 Model 1937 (35327) reproduces one of the most important Soviet tanks of the interwar period and the opening years of the Second World War — the BT-7 fast tank that was produced in thousands and formed the backbone of Soviet armoured formations in 1939-41. Derived from American engineer J. Walter Christie's revolutionary convertible wheel/track suspension design, the BT-7 offered remarkable cross-country speed and was the tank through which the Red Army learned the lessons of mechanised warfare.

Tamiya's 1/35 kit captures the BT-7 Model 1937's characteristic small cylindrical turret, sloped hull, and Christie suspension with excellent accuracy. An important historical subject for Soviet armour collectors.
