The Tamiya 1/35 M26 Pershing T26E3 (35254) reproduces the heavy tank that the US Army finally fielded in the closing months of the Second World War — the Pershing that could meet the Tiger and Panther on more equal terms. Armed with a 90mm gun derived from an anti-aircraft cannon, the T26E3 was America's answer to the heavy tank problem that had plagued US armoured forces since Normandy. It arrived too late to make a decisive impact in Europe but proved its worth in the Korean War that followed.
