The Tamiya 1/35 German Kübelwagen Type 82 (35213) reproduces the iconic lightweight German military car that served the Wehrmacht in virtually every theatre of the Second World War. Ferdinand Porsche's brilliantly simple Type 82 — based on the Volkswagen Beetle platform — proved remarkably reliable and versatile, equally at home in the North African desert, the Eastern Front steppes, or the hedgerows of Normandy. Its air-cooled engine, high ground clearance, and simple mechanics made it the German equivalent of the Willys Jeep.
