The Tamiya 1/35 U.S. Marine M60A1 Tank (35157) reproduces the M60A1 in US Marine Corps service — the version fitted with the distinctive RISE (Reliability Improved Selected Equipment) package and the unique USMC modifications including the ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) blocks added for the Gulf War deployment. The M60A1 served as the Marines' main battle tank through the Cold War, and in Desert Storm it fought alongside Abrams tanks in the liberation of Kuwait despite being technically outclassed by its Army counterpart.
