About this kit
The Sd.Kfz. 250/3 exemplified German versatility in half-track design, serving across transport, communications, and command roles throughout WWII. This variant gained legendary status as Rommel's personal command vehicle in North Africa, christened "Greif" (griffin) for the swift tactical mobility it afforded the Desert Fox.
This 1/35 Tamiya kit meticulously renders the vehicle's distinctive frame antenna and complex armoured surfaces with exceptional fidelity. The detailed interior showcases period-accurate radio equipment, whilst the Maybach straight-six engine receives expert treatment in the engine bay. Link-type assembly tracks provide authentic suspension geometry.
The comprehensive figure set includes a Rommel representation, complemented by decals for his personal vehicle and separate North African and European theatre markings, enabling multiple historical configurations.
