Tamiya 1/35 Military - Flakpanzer Gepard - 35099

The Tamiya 1/35 Flakpanzer Gepard (35099) reproduces the Bundeswehr's formidable Cold War self-propelled anti-aircraft system — the Gepard (Cheetah), which mounted twin 35mm Oerlikon cannon with integrated radar on a Leopard 1 chassis. Designed to counter the low-level air threat from Soviet ground attack aircraft, the Gepard could track and engage multiple targets simultaneously and remained in Bundeswehr service from 1976 to 2010. It gained renewed international attention following its deployment by Ukraine in 2022.

Tamiya's 1/35 kit captures the Gepard's distinctive twin cannon turret, search and tracking radars, and Leopard 1-based hull with excellent accuracy. An important and increasingly relevant modern armour subject.
