Tamiya 1/35 Military - German Sturmgeschutz Iv - 35087

The Tamiya 1/35 German Sturmgeschütz IV (35087) reproduces the hybrid tank destroyer that resulted from combining the Panzer IV hull with the StuG III's superstructure — a battlefield expedient that proved highly effective. The StuG IV was rushed into production in late 1943 after the Alkett factory producing StuG IIIs was bombed, mating the readily available Panzer IV hull with the StuG III G superstructure to maintain assault gun production. Over 1,100 were built and they served with distinction on all fronts.
