The Tamiya 1/48 Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Ausf.E/F (32583) reproduces the Czech-origin light tank that played a significant role in Germany's early Blitzkrieg victories in the compact 1/48 scale. The LT vz. 38 was seized after the German occupation of Czechoslovakia and proved far superior to the Panzer I and II in many respects. Armed with a 37mm cannon and 25mm armour, it gave the Wehrmacht's tank force a qualitative boost at a crucial time, and it saw intensive service in Poland and France before moving to reconnaissance roles.
