The Tamiya 1/48 German Tank Destroyer Hetzer Mid Production (32511) reproduces the compact and effective German tank destroyer in its mid-production form in the compact 1/48 scale. The Hetzer (Sd.Kfz.138/2) was one of the most successful German tank destroyers of WWII — low, well-sloped, and armed with the 7.5cm PaK 39 gun on the Pz.38(t) chassis. Its combination of good protection, firepower, and relatively small size made it highly suitable for the defensive role that dominated German operations from 1944 onwards.
