Tamiya 1/700 Ships - 1/700 Hammann - 31911

The Tamiya 1/700 USS Hammann DD-412 (31911) reproduces the US Navy destroyer that was sunk alongside the stricken carrier USS Yorktown in the aftermath of the Battle of Midway in June 1942 — making her one of the few US warships lost in the decisive engagement that turned the tide of the Pacific War. Hammann was alongside Yorktown providing damage control assistance when the Japanese submarine I-168 torpedoed both ships, sending Hammann to the bottom in minutes.
