Tamiya 1/700 Ships - U.S. Destroyer Cushing - 31907

The Tamiya 1/700 U.S. Destroyer Cushing DD-376 (31907) reproduces the USS Cushing — the lead destroyer in the American column that opened the devastating night action at the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal on 13 November 1942. Cushing's crew fired the opening torpedoes of the action before she was overwhelmed by Japanese gunfire and set ablaze. The battle was one of the most confused and costly surface actions of the Pacific War, fought at point-blank range in the darkness off Guadalcanal.
