The Tamiya 1/48 Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien Aircraft and Kurogane 4x4 Vehicle Set (25203) pairs two distinctive Japanese WWII subjects: the Ki-61 Hien fighter — the only Japanese piston-engined fighter to use a liquid-cooled engine — with the diminutive Kurogane Type 95 light four-wheel-drive car. The Ki-61 was unique among Japanese fighters for its Western-style inline engine, giving it a different silhouette from the radial-engined Zero and Hayabusa.

This diorama set makes an excellent combined airfield scene depicting the distinctive atmosphere of IJAAF operations.
