The Tamiya 1/24 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (24290) reproduces the extraordinary supercar jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren — bringing Formula 1 technology to a road car for the first time in an accessible production vehicle. With a supercharged 5.4-litre AMG V8 producing 617bhp, a carbon fibre body, and a McLaren-developed chassis, the SLR was one of the fastest and most technologically advanced road cars of the 2000s. The side-exit exhaust pipes and long aluminium bonnet gave it an unmistakable presence.
