The GSX1300R's name means 'peregrine falcon' in Japanese — the bird that preys on the European blackbird — a pointed reference to the Honda Super Blackbird it displaced. The aerodynamic all-enclosing fairing and 1298cc inline-four engine made it a landmark machine.
