The Tamiya 1/12 Honda VFR750R RC30 (14057) reproduces the Honda RC30 — the legendary homologation superbike that Honda built to go racing in the newly formed World Superbike Championship. The VFR750R used Honda's V4 engine layout with gear-driven cams, titanium connecting rods, and other exotic specification to produce a race-ready road bike that won the first World Superbike Championship with Fred Merkel in 1988 and 1989. Only around 3,000 were ever produced, making it one of the most desirable Japanese motorcycles ever made.
A milestone superbike subject in Tamiya's 1/12 range.
Kit highlights:
- Accurate Honda VFR750R RC30 in 1/12 scale
- V4 750cc engine with gear-driven cams reproduced
- Full race-homologation specification
- Fred Merkel's two World Superbike Championship winner
- One of the most collectible Japanese superbikes ever built
Please note: Cement and paints required, sold separately.
