The Tamiya 1/35 U.S. M40 Metal Gun Barrel (12670) is a precision-turned metal replacement barrel for Tamiya's 1/35 M40 155mm Self-Propelled Gun. The M40's Long Tom 155mm barrel is one of the longest at 1/35 scale, making barrel straightness an absolute priority — a plastic barrel of this length is highly susceptible to warping and sagging under its own weight, but a metal barrel eliminates this completely.

The metal construction also provides a superior surface finish and a correctly dimensioned muzzle to enhance the realism of this impressive WWII American SPG kit.
