The Tamiya 1/48 Mitsubishi A6M3/3A Zero (Zeke) (61108) reproduces the A6M3 and A6M3a variants of the legendary Zero fighter — the models that carried Japan's air war into 1942–43. The A6M3 replaced the earlier long-range A6M2's folding wingtips with clipped fixed wingtips and introduced a more powerful Sakae 21 engine, while the A6M3a reverted to rounded wingtips. These variants saw intense action over Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.
