The Tamiya 1/48 de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI/NF Mk.II (61062) reproduces two of the most significant variants of the legendary 'Wooden Wonder' — the FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber and the NF Mk.II night fighter. Built almost entirely of wood, the Mosquito was faster than most contemporary fighters at low and medium altitude, and its twin Merlin engines gave it extraordinary range and performance. The FB Mk.VI roamed across occupied Europe attacking targets from airfields to railway marshalling yards, while the NF Mk.II hunted Luftwaffe bombers in the dark.
