About this kit
The Tamiya 1/35 German Kübelwagen Type 82 Afrika Korps (35238) reproduces the rugged VW-based Wehrmacht light car in the desert configuration used by Rommel's legendary Afrika Korps. Fitted with sand filters, tropical modifications, and the distinctive desert yellow paint scheme, this is the definitive North African Kübelwagen — the vehicle that carried German officers and orderlies across the vast spaces of Libya and Egypt during the Western Desert campaign of 1941–43.
Tamiya's detailed 1/35 kit captures the desert-modified Type 82 with its tropical equipment and Afrika Korps markings options, making it the perfect companion to other Tamiya North Africa subjects.
