Tamiya 1/35 Military - 1/35 German Panther Ausf.D Tank - 35345

The Tamiya 1/35 German Panther Ausf.D (35345) reproduces the original production variant of what many consider the finest tank design of the Second World War. The Panther Ausf.D, introduced in early 1943 and rushed into combat at Kursk in July of that year, combined a powerful 75mm KwK42 L/70 gun, well-sloped armour, and excellent mobility in a package that outgunned and out-protected anything the Allies had in service. Despite mechanical teething troubles at Kursk, the Panther became one of the most respected tanks of the conflict.

Tamiya's 1/35 kit captures the Ausf.D's specific early production features with characteristic precision.

Kit highlights:

• Accurate 1/35 Panther Ausf.D with 75mm KwK42 L/70 gun
• Ausf.D specific features — drum-style cupola and early vision ports
• Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste texture option
• Eastern Front Kursk-period marking options
• Interleaved road wheel running gear in detailed 1/35
