About this kit
The Meng 1/35 T-72B3 Russian Main Battle Tank (TS-028) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the modernised Russian T-72B3, the backbone of Russia's tank fleet in the 2010s and 2020s.
The T-72B3 programme, launched in the early 2010s, upgraded older T-72B tanks with a new gunner's sight, improved gun and communications, and Kontakt 5 explosive reactive armour. Tens of thousands of T-72 tanks were built from the 1970s, and the B3 upgrade allowed Russia to modernise a large fleet quickly and cheaply. It has seen extensive combat in Ukraine, so it is one of the most topical modern armour subjects, and Meng's HS-007 crew set suits it.
