Meng 1/35 Military - Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Late - TS-035

The Meng 1/35 Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.A Late (TS-035) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the late production Panther Ausf.A, the German medium tank of 1943 and 1944.

This kit models the main Panther variant of 1943 and 1944. Despite the alphabetical confusion, the Ausf.A followed the Ausf.D and introduced a new cast commander's cupola and, in later production, a ball mounted hull machine gun, combining a powerful 75mm gun with sloped armour that influenced tank design for decades. Around 2,000 Ausf.A Panthers were built by several manufacturers, and the type fought on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Panthers of this version were heavily involved in Normandy in 1944.
