About this kit
The Meng 1/35 Russian Air Defence System 96K6 Pantsir-S1 (SS-016) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the modern Russian truck mounted combined gun and missile air defence system, known to NATO as the SA-22 Greyhound.
The Pantsir-S1 pairs twin 30mm cannon with surface to air missiles and its own radars, mounted here on an eight wheeled KAMAZ truck. It entered Russian service in the early 2010s and protects high value sites against aircraft, missiles and drones. It has been exported to several countries and has seen combat use, which gives modellers a range of finishes to choose from.
