About this kit
The Meng 1/35 PLA ZTQ-15 Light Tank (TS-048) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of China's modern Type 15 light tank, also known as the ZTQ-15, in service with the People's Liberation Army.
Revealed around 2018, the ZTQ-15 carries a 105mm gun on a lighter chassis designed for mountains and high plateaus, where heavier tanks struggle, and it has also been exported. The Type 15 complements heavier tanks such as the Type 99A, which are less suited to thin air and narrow mountain roads, and it is one of the newest tanks in Chinese service. Its compact proportions and modern angular armour make a striking contrast with heavier main battle tanks on a display shelf, and Meng's HS-011 PLA crew set suits it.
