Meng 1/35 Detail Parts - Pickup Mounted Rocket Pods - SPS-034

The Meng 1/35 Pickup Mounted Rocket Pods (SPS-034) is a resin upgrade set of rocket launcher pods designed to arm Meng's 1/35 pickup truck kits as improvised technicals.

Civilian pickups armed with salvaged weapons, known as technicals, are a hallmark of irregular warfare, and air launched rocket pods have often been bolted onto their beds. Such improvised launchers appeared in conflicts across North Africa and the Middle East, notably during the Libyan civil war of 2011. Combined with a Meng pickup and a few figures, the pods make a dramatic and very topical diorama subject.

• Adds a heavy armament option to a technical build
• Fine cast detail on the launcher tubes and mounts
• Great centrepiece for a modern conflict diorama

An upgrade set only: a Meng pickup kit is required and sold separately. Resin parts need careful cleanup and superglue, making this a set for experienced modellers.
