Meng 1/48 Aircraft - Messerschmitt Me 410A-1 High Speed Bomber - LS-003

The Meng 1/48 Me 410A-1 High Speed Bomber (LS-003) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Messerschmitt Me 410A-1 Hornisse, the German Luftwaffe twin engined fast bomber of the Second World War.

Developed to replace the troubled Me 210, the Me 410 Hornisse served as a fast bomber, heavy fighter and reconnaissance aircraft from 1943, and this kit depicts the bomber version. Its remotely controlled rear defensive barbettes, one on each side of the fuselage, were an advanced feature for the period. Its twin DB 603 engines gave it good speed, and it was also used as a bomber destroyer against American daylight raids, sometimes armed with heavy cannon. Over 1,100 Me 410s were built.
