Meng 1/35 Military - M1A1 Abrams TUSK US Main Battle Tank - TS-032

The Meng 1/35 M1A1 Abrams TUSK Main Battle Tank (TS-032) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the American M1A1 Abrams fitted with the Tank Urban Survival Kit.

TUSK was developed during the Iraq War to protect Abrams crews in city fighting, adding reactive armour tiles on the hull sides, armoured shields for the roof machine guns and other urban combat upgrades. The Abrams entered US Army service in the 1980s and also served with the Marine Corps, and the M1A1 fought in the Gulf War of 1991 and the Iraq War from 2003. TUSK equipped tanks, with their tiles and shields, look quite different from a standard Abrams on a display shelf.
