About this kit
The Meng 1/35 Leopard 1A3/A4 Main Battle Tank (TS-007) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the West German Cold War Leopard 1 tank in its A3 or A4 variant, both with the angular welded spaced armour turret.
The Leopard 1A3 introduced the new welded turret in the 1970s, and the Leopard 1A4 added an integrated fire control system. Both served the Bundeswehr and NATO allies for decades. The Leopard 1 was adopted by many NATO and allied armies, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Italy and Canada, making it one of the most successful Western tanks of the period. Its welded turret variants give the model a crisp, angular look very different from the cast turret Leopard 1A1.
