About this kit
The Meng 1/32 Fokker Dr.I Triplane with Red Baron Bust (QS-002S) is a special edition plastic model kit of the German First World War triplane fighter, packaged with a 1/10 resin bust of Manfred von Richthofen.
The Fokker Dr.I reached the Western Front in late 1917 and became famous as the mount of the Red Baron, who was killed flying one in April 1918.
Key Features
- Full 1/32 Fokker Dr.I plastic kit from the standard QS-002 release
- 1/10 scale resin bust of Manfred von Richthofen, limited to 1,000 kits
- Bust shows a leather flying jacket, officer's visor cap and the Pour le Mérite at the collar
- Photo etched cooling jackets for the twin machine guns
- Subtle sagging fabric effect between the wing ribs and a detailed cockpit
Both the aircraft and the bust are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and tools are required and sold separately; the resin bust suits modellers with some figure painting experience.
