Meng 1/48 Aircraft - F-35A Lightning II JASDF - LS-008

The Meng 1/48 F-35A Lightning II JASDF (LS-008) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter as operated by the Japan Air Self Defense Force.

The Japan Air Self Defense Force became one of the first export operators of the F-35A, standing up its first squadron at Misawa in 2018, and this kit depicts the type in Japanese service. Lockheed Martin's conventional take off variant combines stealth shaping with advanced sensor fusion, and Japan plans a large fleet of F-35A and F-35B aircraft. Japan's first F-35As were assembled at a final assembly and check out facility in Nagoya, and the JASDF uses them to replace its ageing F-4 Phantoms. The type's grey stealth finish rewards careful weathering.
