About this product
The Meng Eighth Route Army Soldier (MOE-002) is a pre coloured, snap fit cartoon style figure kit of a Chinese Eighth Route Army soldier from the Second Sino Japanese War (1937 to 1945). It belongs to Meng's MOE soldier series, created with cartoonist Liu Naizhong.
The Eighth Route Army was formed in 1937 when Communist forces were reorganised into the National Revolutionary Army to resist the Japanese invasion, and it fought a long guerrilla campaign across northern China. Its soldiers often fought with scarce and captured weapons, relying on mobility, local support and ambushes. The Hundred Regiments Offensive of 1940 was its largest campaign of the war.
