Meng 1/35 Scenery - Defensive Barriers - SPS-032

The Meng 1/35 Defensive Barriers (SPS-032) is a resin diorama accessory set of two styles of modern collapsible wire mesh gabion barrier, as used around military bases and checkpoints.

Originally designed for flood defence, fabric lined mesh gabions filled with sand or gravel became the standard protective wall around modern forward operating bases. Quick to deploy and filled by machine, these barriers protect against blast and small arms fire and were used in vast numbers by coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. A short run of them behind a vehicle sets the scene for a forward base or checkpoint display.
