About this kit
The Meng 1/35 PLA ZTZ-96B MBT (TS-034) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the ZTZ-96B, the modernised Chinese People's Liberation Army main battle tank with a 125mm gun.
The ZTZ-96B is the latest development of China's Type 96, a 125mm gun main battle tank that forms a large part of the People's Liberation Army's armoured force, and this kit captures it accurately. The 96B gained a more powerful engine and improved fire control, and it came to international attention competing in Russia's tank biathlon from 2014 onwards. The Type 96 family is one of the most numerous modern tank designs in Chinese service, armed with a 125mm smoothbore gun fed by an autoloader. The 96B's red and white biathlon finishes make a colourful alternative scheme.
