About this kit
The Meng 1/35 Chieftain Mk.10 British Main Battle Tank (TS-051) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the British Army's Chieftain in its late Mk.10 standard.
The Chieftain entered service in the 1960s with a powerful 120mm rifled gun. The Mk.10 was a 1980s upgrade that added Stillbrew armour to the turret front, giving the tank its unmistakable late Cold War profile in the British Army of the Rhine. The Chieftain served as the British Army's main battle tank until the Challenger arrived, and export versions saw combat with Iran during the Iran Iraq War. Its long gun and low, sloped hull give it a classic Cold War profile that looks especially good in a West German camouflage scheme.
