About this kit
The Meng 1/35 BMR-3M Russian Mine Clearing Vehicle (SS-011) is an injection moulded plastic model kit of the modern Russian armoured mine clearance vehicle built on a T-90 tank chassis.
Instead of a turret, the BMR-3M carries a heavily armoured superstructure for its crew and pushes a mine roller trawl ahead of it to clear paths through minefields for following troops and vehicles. Engineer vehicles like this lead armoured columns through mined ground, making them a key part of modern Russian assault doctrine. As a subject it offers something different from the usual tanks, and it sits well beside Meng's T-72B3 and Russian air defence kits on a modern Russian display.
