The Italeri 1/72 F/A-18E Super Hornet (083) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet — the single-seat variant of the substantially enlarged Hornet development. The Super Hornet is around 25% larger than the original Hornet and offers greater range, payload, and survivability. It replaced the F-14 Tomcat in the fleet air defence role and is the primary carrier strike aircraft for the US Navy's carrier air wings. At 1/72 scale it makes a compact and attractive carrier aircraft model.
