The Italeri 1/72 F-51D Mustang Korean War (1452) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the F-51D Mustang in Korean War service — the WWII legend that was brought out of storage to serve in the close air support role in Korea in 1950. When war broke out, piston-engine F-51Ds were pressed back into service because jet aircraft lacked the loiter time for effective ground attack. The F-51D served effectively in the CAS role throughout the Korean War in USAF, South Korean, and other UN air force markings.
